With financial assistance from the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario, we offer a variety of products and services to promote small business growth, and community economic development.

Local Initiatives Program funding - applications now being accepted

  • Are you a not-for-profit organization in Haliburton County?
  • Would you like to receive funding for up to 80% of a community economic defelopment project?
  • Does your project contribute to the resiliency and vibrancy of the community?

If YES, please talk to us about submitting an application for the HCDC Local Initiatives Program.  

The purpose of the Local Initiatives Program is to strengthen Haliburton County communities by supporting community economic development projects that are new or enhance/add to existing activities and involve not-for-profit organizations that strive to enhance the economic development efforts of the community.

Applications for Local Initiative Project funding will be accepted until April 15th 2015.

Please click here for program guideline and here for an application form.  We encourage you to discuss your projects with Patti Tallman at the Haliburton County Development Corporation at 705-457-355 prior to completing your application.  Patti will be happy to help ensure your project fits the funding criteria and to examine opportunities to parter with other organizations/potential applicants.

EODP Funding for 2015 / 2016

Please Note:  No EOPD funds remain available for 2015/2016 projects.   Applications for 2016/2017 projects will be available late fall 2015.

The Haliburton County Development Corporation is seeking to partner with for-profit businesses, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities and post-secondary institutions who are looking to undertake innovation initiatives with the potential of making a significant impact on the economy of Haliburton County.
