Youth "STEM" Initiative

The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal  Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and Science and Technology, announced the new Youth STEM initiative.

Youth STEM provides financial support to eligible not-for-profit organizations to expand, enhance and coordinate the reach and impact of educational outreach programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for children and youth in kindergarten through grade 12.

 Up to $20 million has been allocated to this program from 2010 to 2014.

 submitted by eligible not-for-profit organizations currently delivering
 STEM outreach programs to children and youth in southern Ontario.
