Why Not Collect It Enters Business Incubator
NEWS BULLETIN: August 17th, 2010
The Haliburton Creative Business Incubator is pleased to welcome Sandi Mc Elwain as a new tenant. Sandi’s emerging, entrepreneurial business is “Why Not Collect It”, an on-line sales and purchasing business employing eBay, Kijiji and other major sites.
Sandi, with the support of the mentoring program, will be looking to build her business with customers throughout the county and beyond.
Sandi’s services will include evaluation, selling, buying and consignment services. Sandi has achieved extremely high Powerseller ratings on eBay for customer service and satisfaction. Haliburton County residents with collectables, large and small, will be able to sell or source goods through a trusted resource. The scope and potential for the business is large. Artists will be able to list their creations. People with items they believe may be worth something can find out. And this service will be very attractive to those who don’t know the world of on-line sales and would rather not try to learn.
Why Not Collect It looks after packing and shipping as part of the service. It will be an excellent service for those looking for a collectable, a hard to find item or hard to get concert tickets.
Just a few days ago, a cottager contacted Sandi and wanted to know what a toy car was worth. The car it turned out was quite valuable and within 24 hours it was up to $500 on eBay. You just never know where the next treasure will come from.
The world of on-line sales is a 7 day a week proposition. At the outset, Sandi will be on site for appointments Monday, Wednesday and Friday but can be reached any day of the week at (705) 457-1515 or at karmazero@netscape.ca. You can check out Sandi’s eBay store at www.whynotcollectit.ca.
Why Not Collect It joins the Haliburton Language School in the Creative Business Incubator. Additional announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
