Schools
The Haliburton Highlands are home to several elementary schools. These include:
Archie Stouffer Elementary School (JK-8) in Minden,
J.D. Hodgson Elementary School (4-8) in Haliburton,
Stewart W. Baker Elementary School (JK-3) in Haliburton,
French Immersion programs are offered at the elementary schools in Haliburton.
Wilberforce Elementary School.
The Haliburton Highlands Secondary School (HHSS) is the only high school within the county. Located on the shores of Head Lake in Haliburton Village, HHSS is well known for its excellent facilities and faculty.
Haliburton Village is also home to Fleming College's renowned Haliburton School of The Arts. The College offers 15-week intensive, in-studio art certificates as well as extensive summer programming. The dramatic architecture of wood, glass and steel lets artists create their work in an inspiring setting. The campus is also home to the unique Sustainable Building Design and Construction and Renovation programs, which show students hands-on how to build a community structure from the ground up using sustainable materials and methods.
