Why a loan from HCDC?
- Flexible financing options up to $300,000.
- Loans are fully open and repayable without penalty.
- Loans over $300,000 can be shared with other financial institutions (i.e. The BDC or other CFDCs).
- Decisions for financing are made by our local volunteer Board of Directors.

Green Initiatives Program
The Green Initiative Program provides loans at a reduced interest rate for businesses and organizations undertaking initiatives that will lower their carbon footprint. Through the Green Initiatives loan program, HCDC provides loans up to $30,000 at a reduced interest rate for initiatives that will lower the carbon footprint of the business.
This is part of our Green Commitment; to encourage and support initiatives of organizations and businesses that will lessen the carbon of businesses and institutions in Haliburton County an contribute to the development of businesses that address environmental challenges and climate change.
Angel Investing
Angel Investing is an individual, or group of individuals, who provide capital and for business start-ups, usually in exchange for convertible debt or ownership equity. Angel investors may also get involved providing support as advisors, making industry connections, and assisting with strategic development of a business.

To apply for a Business Loan or a Green Initiatives Loan, complete the Loan Application on our website.
